2 Years AME Basic

DGCA APPROVAL

Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Ministry of Civil Aviation, Govt of India issues "Certificates of Airworthiness" to all aircraft which are always safe for operation and in fully serviceable condition.

To certify an Aircraft as "Air-Worthy"; Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul are carried out following schedule or some unscheduled maintenance procedures. Only qualified Aircraft Maintenance Engineers or Aircraft Engineers with a License are permitted to carry out such work. Aircraft Maintenance Engineers or Aircraft Engineers is a niche group of Engineers who are approved by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Govt. of India.

HAA is an approved Maintenance Training Organisation (MTO) conducting theory for B1.1 (Aeroplane Turbine) / B2 (Avionics) and through a written agreement conducts "Operational Environment Practical Training" at DGCA approved CAR 145 Aircraft Maintenance Organisations (AMO) like >

1. IndiGo (at Bengaluru International Airport Ltd)

2. Air Works India Engineering Private Limited (at Hosur Aerodrome)

Students are eligible to pursue B.Sc. (Hons) Aircraft Maintenance undergraduate degree affiliated to Bengaluru North University along with the AME basic course.

Eligibility:

The minimum eligibility criteria are a pass certificate in 12th Std with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects, from a recognized board or equivalent.

Any candidate who has passed their Diploma in Engineering (Aeronautical / Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics) with the required minimum 50% aggregate in all semesters and no arrears.

Any candidate can take up this License course, including engineering graduates or any other graduates who had PCM subjects in their 12th Std.

Any Graduate degree holders - BTech / BE.

Syllabus:

Training:

Practical Training or OEPT (Operational Environment Practical Training) is offered on Live Operational Aircraft and Simulators such as Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, Embraer, Cessna, Bell, etc. 

HAA has long term agreements with IndiGo Airlines and Airworks India Engineering Pvt Ltd for providing Students Practical Training & Experience.

Hands-on practical experience on all types of aircraft and other ancillary departments of the Engineering department is recorded in a "Personal Experience Handbook" signed and sealed by Authorised Quality Manager. Students are required to observe and perform tasks prescribed by the DGCA under supervision of Nodal officers.

Placements:

AME license holders are in good demand as the Aviation industry has been expanding rapidly in India and abroad. Many new airlines have started operations and the civil aviation field has seen a number of new aircraft joining the fleets every month which has resulted in a large number of vacancies for aircraft technicians and engineers. Singapore Airlines has been conducting campus interviews at our Academy and successful candidates are being employed in Singapore from 2007 onwards. Most of our ex-students are well placed in the public sector and private Airlines such as Air India, Airworks India Engineering Pvt. Ltd., Indigo, Go Air, Jet Airways, Singapore Airlines, Malaysian Airlines, Emirates Airlines, Qatar Airways and all other Aircraft owning companies. The Academy assures placements for those who passed all their Modules successfully and possess the minimum required work experience entered in their Personal Experience Record Book.

Above all, the student must be determined and motivated to take up any amount challenges involved in the Aviation industry, grooming himself / herself to being a disciplined, well mannered and smart human being to becoming a highly skilled and dedicated aircraft maintenance engineer.

Documents Required for Admission:
  • Original 10th and 12th Std Marks Sheets or Diploma  + 5 sets of attested photocopies
  • Recent Stamp Size Colour Photograph - 10 Nos.
  • Colour copies of Valid Photo ID Proof (passport or aadhar)
  • Medical Certificate Original (the medical form must be collected from the admission dept along with application form)
  • Transfer Certificate Original or Migration Certificate Original
