Master of Commerce

The Programme

The course of study for M.Com (Master of Commerce) degree shall extend over a period of two years divided into 4 (four) semesters. Each Semester will be of 16 weeks or more duration with a minimum of 90 actual working days.

Objective

The broad objective of the Master of Commerce course is to impart to the Students, professional education and training in various aspects of business and its environment and provide them with opportunities to develop managerial and analytical skills in order to meet the challenges of business at the national and global level. The platform will also enrich the students to cope up with the recent changes in the business world.

Career Prospects

Master of Commerce or M.Com., is a postgraduate Master Degree which specializes in commerce, accounting, management and economics related subjects. Students who complete M.Com., can apply for jobs within the Govt. sector too. UPSC is a major recruiter of M.Com., students, providing a good profile and package. Doctorate of Philosophy can also be done in many majors like Financial Studies, Commerce, and Statistics. With the use of latest technology, expansion of business is widened globally. Eligibility

To be eligible for admission to the course, candidates should have a graduation in B.Com/BBA/BBM/BBS with minimum of 50% of marks.
