EASA Part 66 CAT A, B1, B2 3 years Basic AME course

Hindustan Aviation Academy prepares students to take up the EASA Part 66 Basic Module Examination as per the Civil Aviation Regulator/Authority of the EU ie European Aviation Safety Agency. The course is organised in 3 years in which the students are required to complete their EASA Modules for categories CAT A, B1 or B2, ie (Theoretical Training).

Practical Maintenance Training and Certifying Experience is provided at an EASA Approved Part 145 (Aircraft Maintenance, Repair & Overhauling organisation) which must be in tandem with the Basic Module Training (Theoretical Training). 

The students also have the option of doing their BSc Aircraft Maintenance undergraduate degree in tandem with the EASA Part 66 Basic Module Training course within the duration of 3 years. 

Civil Aviation Authority issues certificates of Airworthiness to all aircrafts which are in fully serviceable condition at all times. To certify an Aircraft as "Airworthy"; maintenance, repair and overhaul is carried out on aircrafts periodically and it is made fully serviceable. Only qualified personnel called Aircraft Maintenance Engineers, who are issued with such licenses in a particular category by the Civil Aviation Department are only allowed to expedite such work on an aircraft.

DViation, Malaysia (which is in partnership with SR Technics, Zurich) is conducting EASA Part 66 Basic Module examinations (MCQ & Essay) at Hindustan Aviation Academy, Bangalore.

SR Technics is a Maintenance Training Organisation approved to provide training and conduct examinations within the approval schedule in accordance with Annex IV (Part 147) of Regulation 1321/2014.

Successful candidates will be issued with a Certificate of Compliance with Regulation (EC) No. 216/2008, of the European Parliament and of the Council and to the Commission Regulation (EU) No.1321/2014.

Eligibility

Any candidate that has passed their 12th STD or Diploma (polytechnic) or equivalent and posesses a passion for Aircrafts and Aviation is eligible to take up this course.

Training

Practical Maintenance Training and Certifying Experience are offered on live operating Aircrafts at an EASA Approved Part 145 (Aircraft Maintenance, Repair & Overhauling Organisation) during the course. The students working in base maintenance, line maintenance and overhaul workshops (including engine, power plant, NDT, composites and structures) will have extensive Hands-on work experience on live aircrafts in an Engineering Division with a personal experience record book signed and sealed by Authorised and Licenced Aircraft Engineers, i.e., is very valuable for applying for jobs as Aircraft Maintenance Engineers or Technicians.

Singapore Airlines has been conducting campus interviews at our Academy and successful candidates are being employed in Singapore from 2007 onwards.

Most of our ex-students are well placed in the public sector and private Airlines such as Airworks India Engineering Pvt.Ltd., Jet Airways, Singapore Airlines, Malaysian Airlines, Emirates Airlines, Qatar Airways, KLM, British Airways, Airbus, Boeing, Pratt & Whiteney, SR Technics and all other Aircraft owning companies.

The Academy issues placements for those who passed all their Modules successfully and possess the minimum required work experience entered in their Personal Experience Recorded Book.

Above all, the student must be determined and motivated to take up any amount of challenges involved in the Aviation Industry, grooming him/her to being a disciplined, well mannered smart human being to becoming a highly skilled and dedicated aircraft maintenance engineer.

Documents Required for Admission

Original 10th and 12th Grade Mark Sheet + 5 sets of attested photocopies.

Recent Stamp Size Colour Photograpg – 10 Nos.

Valid Photo ID Proof (preferably a Passport).

Valid Student Visa (applicable for international students only).

Medical Certificate Original(the form will be issued by the Academy).

Transfer / Migration Certificate Original.
